Q. How much commission will I make?
It's completely up to you. You are able to alter the amount of commission you make on an order by order basis allowing you to tailor the cost of the pack to your customers. Many of our agents make £80 - £100 per pack. If you multiply this by the number of instructed properties you took on last month it would make a surprisingly lucrative additional revenue stream for your agency. At the same time our easy to use ordering service cuts down on unnecessary administrative chores, making your branches more efficient.
Q. When do I get paid?
We will send your commission on a monthly basis for all packs completed in the previous calendar month. You don't have to do a thing. Our self billing invoice system will provide you with a cheque and a record of all completed packs for your records.
Q. How do I access the completed HIP?
The completed HIP and EPCs are automatically integrated into your dezrez software and can either be downloaded from the property edit screen or from your property lists pages using the red arrow download icon.
Q. Can I use my own DEA?
Yes - we've tried to make our product as flexible as possible and recognise that many of our agents have existing relationships with local DEAs or have themselves trained to carry out EPCs. If you would like to register yourself or a local assessor to receive the instructions for your HIP EPCs please email us at info@hipz.com with the name and email address of the DEA contact.
Q. How much do you pay for doing my own EPC?
A standard £45 + VAT has been included in the basic cost of the pack for the EPC. If you would like to receive more than the standard £45 + VAT we will be happy to accommodate you by adding your required amount to the final cost of the HIP.
Q. Do I get a discount if a property already has an EPC?
There is a £35 + VAT discount on the total cost of the pack if you provide an RRN number for an EPC.
Q. How long does it take to order a HIP?
A HIP can be ordered using the dezrez software in a matter of seconds. All you have to do is complete the ordering wizard by telling us who will be paying for the pack and the payment method they would like to use. All the other information is taken from the customer and property information already stored within your dezrez system.
Q. How long do the HIPs take to complete?
From 6th April 2009 the 'Market Ready' components of the HIP will take an average 3-4 days to complete. The full pack for registered properties should be ready within 2 weeks, depending on regional search timescales.
Q. When can I market the property?
From 6th April 2009 vendors and agents will need to wait for the following items to be available before actively marketing the property:
- Pack Index
- Sales Statement
- EPC or PEA
- Registered Title Documents or SIM
- Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ)
You will still have the 28 day provision for documents that take longer to obtain such as searches.
The dezrez ordering system will notify you when a HIP has reached the market ready stage using our reminder system. At this point a URL link will be provided with the necessary compulsory documents contained. This can be downloaded from both the property edit pages and the property listings pages using the red download icon.
Q. Do I need to take payment from the vendor?
Your hipz account manager will take care of the payment for you. With a wide range of flexible options there will be a payment method to suit all your clients. In addition your account manager will be able to address any questions your vendor may have regarding the packs. Having our team on hand to take care of these elements of ordering a HIP leaves you and your staff free to get on with running your agency.
Q. How much are the HIPs?
Our packs are competitively priced starting from £255 + VAT.
Q. How do I send the HIP to my solicitor?
We have developed a copy button on the property edit page which allows you to copy and paste the link for the pack onto an email without the hassle of typing out long web addresses or having to open the documents and save to pdf.
Q. Are there any tie-ins to this service e.g. minimum number of orders per month?
Absolutely no tie ins. We believe the quality and speed of the service will bring you back every time.
Q. Do you inform the customer of the commission?
We will never disclose a commission to a customer under any circumstances.
Q. What payment options are available?
We have several flexible payment options available including:
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- Cheque
- BACS
- 9 month Deferred (or on completion/withdrawal which ever is sooner)
