N.B. All broadband connections should be of business grade coupled with a commercial class broadband router/ethernet switch (not a consumer home/SOHO router).

We advise you set up a 100 Mbps+ internal network to your broadband router to all your PCs. If you are using the enterprise version of dezrez then this is essential. If you wish to set up a wireless network then we insist you use a commercial wireless router / access point and not one designed for home use.

The requirements for a PC to run dezrez are relatively low, so much so that a standard office grade machine bought from any major retailer will exceed most if not all of our minimum requirements.

Very important! Dezrez Requires: A minimum screen resolution height of 768 pixels and recommends installation of all available Microsoft Windows updates, including Service Packs and the latest Internet Explorer version.

The dezrez system can integrate with Microsoft Office to produce Standard Letters and Word Merges. Dezrez only supports Word 2003 and above. N.B. Dezrez does not support Microsoft Works.

Although dezrez does not directly support the Apple Mac OS Operating System we currently support a number of users running dezrez through the use of Apple's Boot Camp Utility and Third-Party emulation software, such as VMware Fusion and Parallels Desktop.

Due to the hardware requirements for these technologies if you have existing Apple hardware we suggest a minimum specification of:

To run the enterprise version of dezrez you will need to have a dedicated computer setup in the office that will pass dezrez data around to the other computers, this will be your server.

The size of your business will dictate how powerful your server needs to be and the following is our minimum recommendations*.

* This specification is for the sole use of dezrez.
** 2 Offices SQL Server 2005 Express will work up until the database size reaches 1GB
*** 3-4 Offices SQL Server 2008 Express R2 will work up until the database size reaches 1GB

These specifications should under normal circumstances be sufficient for the initial 2 year license period. Agencies using the SQL express edition that extend their initial license period should consider upgrading to SQL server standard edition as the database will grow past the 1GB memory pool limit.
